Well its been an interesting pre launch of Nubbit. Our goal was to start slow and introduce people to the site so we can make modifications and improvisations to the site so that we can ensure a site of the utmost quality. We have found that there appears to be a bit of a lag in loading the scripts for the blogs indexed in our directories. I am in the process of fixing this up so that the pages load a lot quicker for everyone.
I have found there to be a lot of value in the traffic exchange programs, but I will warn you, donate surf too long the first little while cause it will burn you out. TRUST ME!
There was in interesting article in a newsletter I subscribe to about SEO (search engine optimization), about the value of link baiting. The concept was compared to putting our fishing lines and letting the traffic find you. You publish a new page on a topic and set it free on the web. Hopefully others pick up on the content as fresh and interesting and link to it. The article is the bait, and the link is the catch. A properly created page can capture huge links on its own with little to no effort from you.
This not only helps you in your search engine rankings but even more importantly generates traffic to your blog folks. I wanted to take this opportunity to also congratulate those whom have their blogs listed on Nubbit, as you are aware, there are many blog directories out there with thousands of blogs posted, and in some cases waiting lists to be posted. To be featured on Nubbit, is not only an honor but an accomplishment in its own. At this point your site has had to be found by one of our Nubbits and then approved and added to the given category. We are not accepting every blog, only those with what we feel is quality content. Good job!
OK everybody, I have been trying out so many free traffic things this weekend as an attemmpt to find out which ones work and which are not worth joining. Some of them i found worked really well while others I have over 800 hits banked but they have only delivered on 14! So, to save you all some time, I have made a link list on the side to the ones that I have found to work well. Feel free to signup for them all, I usually have one or two different ones running and check them out from time to time.
Pretty cool concepts, especially if bloggers start signing up cause this will provide you with a more entertaining search. I will warn you, it can become a little addictive, especially the Traffic Pod one, since it rewards you the longer your on there system, and being a competitive person with an addictive personality i have found this one to be my fav so far.
Anyways, I will let everyone know as I add others to the site, or if I find other traffic exchange programs or ideas that can help the blogging community.
Take Care,
Nubster signing out!

So yesterday was Friday and thank god, I needed the weekend to come. The vibe around the office is just about killing me and the Nublet. My Boss has got to figure things out, I can tell you one thing is for sure, he is not a leader. Leaders can be born or made, but like everything else in life you must work at it and learn. Being a truly valuable and effective leader you must learn alot about people and what motivates them. Being a leader takes time and energy that few are truly willing to spend.
Im starting to loose alot of my ambition towards working for someone who is so clearly unapreciative of the things that I and others do for him. But that all said what bothers me most is his SPIN mentallity. He knows he has a gift for selling people his ideas so he trys spinning everything. In otherwards, has the ability to tell you that he is not happy with your work while in the same breath make it sound like its not your fault, so that there is no room to standup for yourself. I know I do a great job so I feel I have the right to complain. Not alot of people can do for him what some of us do at the office.
Oh well…. I’ll admit there are things that are weaknesses for me, but thats the difference between him and I. I will admit those weekness and take the responsability to change on myself, where he quite simply blaims everyone but himself. There sure are alot of people I have met in the last few years with this ever growing Victim Mentality.
Please people, take responsability for your actions its quite funny how much you can improve on things when you make a concious effort to imrove rather than to blame. I can strike out in a game and blame it on the umpire or I can walkoff and figure out what happened so I don’t do it in my next at bat.
Thats the thoughts of the Nubster for today.
