Through the looking glass

I don’t at present have to wear glasses, but that doesn’t mean I will go my whole life without doing so. If I did have to wear them, I would definitely be shopping around for cheap glasses because, well, hey, I like to get the best possible deal that I can no matter what it is. I don’t see why you have to walk into an eyewear store and pay top dollar for a pair of glasses when there are so many places online that you could probably get the exact same thing at a 1/4 of the cost. You just have to be willing to do a little ’shopping around’ to find the best deal, but make no doubt about it, the best deal is most definitely out there and really, right at your fingertips.

Logo Time

I came across this great site for logo design and thought I would try my hand at designing a business card for one of my other sites, abetterbulldog.com. I couldn’t believe how much fun I had creating this business card:

The site was super easy to use, and it didn’t take a brain surgeon or computer geek to figure out how to create my very own logo and then proceed on to making this business card. It was all very easy to navigate and my logo was created in just five simple steps. Anyone from my 5 year old niece to my 88 year old Grandma could create their very own unique customized logo and business card using this site. There were so many options to choose from when it came to choosing a style and a picture for my logo that if you couldn’t find something on here for your business, well, perhaps you shouldn’t be in business. I found exactly what I was looking for in a logo for our bulldog site, something simple, makes a statement and says it all without saying too much.

Renos

Every time I look around I see things I’d like to change/fix and then I promptly put it out of my mind when I then think about how much things cost. It really is quite annoying when it gets right down to it how much even a stupid can of paint can put you out these days. You can get some at Wal-Mart for $19, but looking at how well our bathroom turned out, I’m rather hesitant to go that route again anytime soon. Something that we would love to replace around here are interior doors as they cheaped out when they first installed them and whoever lived here prior to us wasn’t so kind to any of the doors as they all seem to have cracks in them (perhaps from a fist) expect for maybe one. If we ever do get to replace them, or perhaps if we don’t, one thing we could do is make all the doorknobs uniform as I swear there isn’t a matching doorknob in this place. Baldwin has some rather nice doorknobs/handles, so that at least gives me a starting point on deciding what I would like.

Winter woos us

So, right about now Hilton Head rentals sounds rather fabulous to me. Why you may ponder? Well, in this fine little portion of the country, and, well, really all across my country I suppose, winter has settled in. Yes, winter was already showing its hold on us with snow and mildly chilly temperatures, but this week it has really, truly reared its ugly head. It is damn COLD here -15 (celsius), the same as it was yesterday and it’s not supposed to get much above -8 today. It’s not horrible as the sun in shining, but it is rather difficult to enjoy the sunshine without freezing off some body part. The heat is cranked in the room I’m currently in, and yet my hand/fingers are like icicles and it is driving me nuts. So annoying when your hands are cold b/c no matter how warm it is where you are, if your hands are cold the rest of you ain’t none too hot. I must go and see what I can do to remedy this situation.
