Well, it appears that Jennifer Lopez is trying again…to get pregnant that is.  According to friends of the couple they are wanting to have another baby and are “desperately trying to conceive again.”

Apparently John Mayer is hinting that he is looking for a “creative” way to propose to girlfriend Jennifer Aniston…only time will tell if this is gossip or truth..

If you watched Grey’s Anatomy last night, or keep up with it at all, you knew that Erica Hahn is no longer.  I did miss the ‘bite’ she added to the show while watching it last night.  I am not sure how much I like the addition of Meredith’s new/old friend, it messed with things a little too much for me and I hope she doesn’t stick around too long because I really enjoy the Meredith/Christina relationship.  Kudos to Mary McDonnell’s character, Virginia Dixon, that was some good acting and I look forward to seeing how her role plays out on the show, she is around for at least 2 more episodes.

Lastly, I just have to say that the news of the pregnant man expecting again brings up that whole man/woman issue for me again.  I’m sorry, not to offend anyone, but if you have lady bits (inside and out) and can carry a child in your WOMB, simply growing a beard and removing your breasts does not make you a man.  There are plenty of women out there who have just as much of a beard as ‘he’ does, and they are still calling themselves women!

Being a Canadian, and someone who likes their music, I was very surprised and bothered by the recent arrest of Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page for possession of cocaine. I guess in some way I shouldn’t be shocked, as drugs run rampant in the music business and in ‘Hollywood’ in general and you just never know who will be caught next. It makes me wonder how long he’s been doing cocaine, or if it’s a newfound obsession. I find it quite sad as I’ve always viewed The Barenaked Ladies as a ‘wholesome’ band with good, sometimes quirky, but always original, music and thought they had themselves a ‘niche’ there where they didn’t need to be drunk or on drugs to have a good time or put on a good show or just to be ‘known’. Even more unfortunate is that he has 3 kids and he could face up to 15 years in jail if convicted. Of course, he is going to fight the charges and his manager stated it will be business as usual for the band. Who knows, I guess time will tell, but I wish he could have been innocent and, since I hadn’t heard much about the band lately, that the news about him could have been bland, like, he likes to buy diet pills online or something mundane like that. Unfortunately, it just isn’t so…

I can’t say it was a very Happy Birthday for me to wake up and hear that George Carlin had died.  I feel old when I say, all the good ones are gone…but it feels so true.  Rest in peace George.
