American ‘Bore’dol
I had forgotten that American Idol was premiering last night until I heard something about it on the radio so I got a little excited as I usually watch the show from start to finish. I turned it on last night and had lost interest within the first five minutes. I’m not sure exactly what it was that caused that to happen, but I just had the whole ‘been there, done that’ feeling when I tried to watch it and I found it wholly un-interesting. I don’t know what season it’s in, but after the lack of interest last night I’m wondering if maybe this should be the last one as the whole concept is kinda starting to lose appeal. The auditions always seem to take so long and they like to show all the idiots who were told by some random stranger on the street they had a good voice so they figured they were the best singer ever and hustled their butt down there to audition. I’m tired and bored of seeing those people. I much rather enjoy watching the ones who actually have TALENT and blow you away the second they open their mouths, and those people seem to rarely see the light of the TV screen as they must get better ratings showing all the non-talents.
I can’t say I won’t watch the show 100%, but I can say I won’t watch 100% of the show. Maybe when they get it narrowed down I will tune in, or if I get bored out of my mind, I may give the auditions a try again. We shall see, but I do think the show, all in all, has ‘run its course.’
I’m not even going to talk about poor, poor Paris, it’s tiring trying to keep
Never Again, this might be what Kelly Clarkson is facing, as in maybe Never Again will she tour and perhaps Never Again will she see the shining spotlight on her. First came the news that she had kicked her management to the curb. One rumour being that they wanted her to sing Never Again on the Idol gives back show, but she felt that wasn’t the right song, so she performed something else (which sucked anyways). And now, apparently her tour has been cancelled, as she says it’s just too much, which, in real terms means, the stadiums they booked were just too much as in too many seats for poor not so hot Kelly, to fill. Gotta love American Idle.
