If you haven’t already heard, which I’m sure you have and this is so old news, but I already had posted yesterday when I came across this.  Apparently the founder of Facebook is being sued with allegations that he stole the idea.  Anyone shocked about this?  I’m certainly not.  The original lawsuit dates back to 2004 and has been re-opened due to the recent blast off in popularity of Facebook.  The question arises, is this truly a case of him stealing someone else’s idea, or envy rearing its ugly head?  I suppose time will tell.

And in Celebrity Oops today…Lindsay Lohan.  This chick has ISSUES!!  Just got out of a 45-day stint in rehab and then gets herself arrested for drunk driving and cocaine possession.  She is on the road to nowhereville fast and one has to wonder what it will take for her to finally get things under control.

If you don’t know what Facebook is by now, how is that rock you’ve been living under?  It’s unfathomable how this social phenomenon has taken off, but just goes to show that it’s worth pursuing your ideas and dreams because you never know what might come of them.  The founder of Facebook is a mere 23 years old and developed the site as a way for university students to communicate and it wasn’t until late last year that he decided to let the world have a peek at Facebook.  Now the site is recording over 26 million unique monthly visitors and Mr. Zuckerburg has already turned down a $1 billion offer from Yahoo!

Some say it may become what Google is to Internet search, the ’standard’ for social networking, others wonder if it’s just riding high on a trend and will fall off when the ‘next big thing’ comes along.  I guess it remains to be seen, but I do know one thing…wish I’d come up with the idea.  To read more, click here.
