Friday has blessed once again so it is, once again, time for the celebrity oops file..

Celebrity oops Isaiah Washington, oops, how did you get to become such a star when you come off as such a jerk!! On Monday it came out that he is now accusing T.R. Knight of trying to sabotage the cast of Grey’s Anatomy and, says George should have gotten kicked to the curb and not him. It was reported this past week that he was in talks with NBC, an is apparently in high demand, but he doesn’t want to say anything until he has it all sorted out…I won’t be holding my breath.

Oops Eddie, DNA don’t lie. On June 25, 2007, it was declared that Eddie Murphy is indeed the father of former Spice Girl, Mel B.’s baby. Perhaps Eddie can babysit when the freshly re-united Spice Girls go on their World Tour.

Rosie’s Price is…WRONG!! At least we didn’t have to endure watching her host any shows as she backed out of the gig once she was informed she’d have to move, stating that she didn’t want to uproot her family.

paula-abdul.jpgPoor, poor Paula Abdul, the whole world is against her now. Apparently her new reality show is rife with ‘poor me’ instances, she doesn’t get the respect she deserves and, I quote, “My romantic life is like a horror movie”. Hmm..Paula, do tell..how is this whole victim role working out for ya?

Is she or isn’t she? The Nicole Richie pregnancy debate drones on…

Celebrity BIG Oops for John Stamos recently…I guess ‘class’ isn’t in his vocabulary, wonder how long before he mysteriously disappears off of ER after this debacle.

I would be remiss to not mention the big news of Paris being released from jail, minus the fact of just how little I really care. If you want to read about it click here or here or here or here… Ha, ha..got ya on the last one, no link there, if you really want to read that much about Paris Hilton I suggest you need counselling.

That’s all for me today…Happy Weekend All!! Happy LONG weekend for all the Canadians..including me..WOO HOO!! Happy Birthday Canada!

Headache or bullet?

In rather bizarre news out of Florida yesterday afternoon a man woke up with a bad headache and wondered if he was having an aneurism or if his wife had accidentally elbowed him in the head in his sleep.  No sir, it’s worse than that, your wife SHOT YOU in your sleep and then claimed she had no idea what happened.  She later admitted to it, saying it was an accident, I’d hazard to claim she’s only calling it an ‘accident’ because she didn’t manage to kill him.  The rest of the story

In Celebrity OOps today…if anyone cares, click here for highlights of our dearly transformed Paris Hilton on Larry King last night.

Was it ‘roid rage’?

For someone who never even watched Chris Benoit fight, I may seem a little obsessed with this story, but I wouldn’t say that I am.  I guess I am just interested to find out chris-benoit2.jpgwhat really happened, when, in truth, the person who knows best what happened is no longer here to tell us why he did it.  This type of thing just seems to happen more often, people killing their loved ones and sometimes themselves afterwards and the ‘why’ is never answered.

When I first heard of this tragedy, it was reported that he was found shot to death in his home along with his wife and son, how wrong that report was.  Now the details of Chris Benoits’ last hours alive are starting to seep out.  The strange text messages leave one wondering if the steroids took over or if he was on something else.  From sounding groggy and tired and telling a co-worker “I love you”, to sending several messages to two other co-workers with his home address and telling them where his dogs were located and that the garage side door was open.  Unfortunately, authorities didn’t arrive in time to spare any lives as his wife was found strangeld and his son suffocated with a Bible placed next to their bodies and Benoit hanging from a weight machine pulley.  The investigation continues

In other news…yesterday marked my 100th POST and I had over 100 VISITS…WOO HOO!!

What happened to Chris Benoit?

Filed under: Celebrity Oops, Life Experiences — info at 10:35 am on Tuesday, June 26, 2007

Why?  Probably the question on many a mind as they ponder what happened to make Chris Benoit first kill his wife and son over the weekend and then himself yesterday.  Does a person just snap?  Or is this something that builds over time and there are little indications, but people don’t want to acknowledge it, so they pretend everything is ok, until the unthinkable happens.  It is scary, as this is certainly not the first time something like this has happened, but I guess it just goes to show you just never know.  The mind is a powerful thing.

WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife, and son were found dead Monday and police said they were investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.

chris-benoit.jpgDetective Bo Turner told television station WAGA that the case was being treated as a murder-suicide, but said that couldn’t be confirmed until evidence was examined by a crime lab.

The station said that investigators believe the 40-year-old Benoit killed his wife, Nancy, and seven-year-old son, Daniel, over the weekend, then himself on Monday. A neighbour called police, and the bodies were found in three rooms.

World Wrestling Entertainment said on its website it asked authorities to check on Benoit and his family after being alerted by friends who received “several curious text messages sent by Benoit early Sunday morning.”

Lead investigator Lt. Tommy Pope, of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, told The Associated Press the deaths were being investigated as homicide, and that the causes of death awaited autopsy results on Tuesday. Pope said the bodies were discovered about 2:30 p.m., but refused to release details.

The house is in a secluded neighbourhood set back about 60 metres off a gravel road, surrounded by stacked stone wall and a double-iron gate. On Monday night, the house was dark except for a few outside lights. There was a police car in front, along with two uniformed officers.

The WWE cancelled its live “Raw” wrestling card Monday night in Corpus Christi, Texas. Canadian television network The Score aired a three-hour tribute to Benoit in place of the scheduled telecast.

The tribute began with WWE chairman Vince McMahon standing in the middle of an empty ring, eyes welling up with tears and voice cracking as he broke the news of Benoit’s death.

“We at the WWE can only offer our condolences to the extended family of Chris Benoit,” said McMahon. “The only other thing we can do at this moment is pay tribute to Chris Benoit.”

Benoit was born in Montreal and also lived in Edmonton. He began his career in 1985 after training with Stu Hart and family in Calgary. He competed for Hart’s Stampede Wrestling promotion and later wrestled in Japan and for the National Wrestling Alliance, WCW and Extreme Championship Wrestling. He joined WWE in 2000.

“I am deeply saddened over the loss of Chris Benoit,” WWE Canada president Carl DeMarco said on the WWE website. “My heartfelt thoughts and sympathy go out to his parents and family. My relationship with Chris has extended many years and I consider him a great friend. Chris was always first-class – warm, friendly, caring and professional . . . one of the best in our business.”

Benoit maintained a home in the Atlanta area from the time he wrestled for the defunct World Championship Wrestling. He was scheduled to wrestle at the Vengeance pay-per-view Sunday night in Houston, but was replaced at the last minute because of what WWE called a “family emergency.”

Benoit, a five-foot-11, 220-pounder, was often described as a rabid wolverine in the ring. “The Canadian Crippler” had a chiselled physique and was known for his superior technical skills. The “Crippler Crossface” was one of his signature moves, along with a flying headbutt from the top rope and triple German suplex.

Fellow wrestlers admired Benoit’s hard-nosed attitude.

“Chris was the type of guy you’d want to go to war with,” said WWE champion John Cena. “He was a good man, he truly lived for the business. He did everything for it.”

Benoit held several titles over his career but realized his dream at Wrestlemania 20 in 2004, defeating Shawn Michaels and champion Triple H in a triple threat match at Madison Square Garden to win the WWE world heavyweight championship for the first time.

“Chris Benoit was not only one of the greatest wrestlers I ever saw, he was one of the best friends I ever had in this business,” WWE announcer Jim Ross said during Monday’s tribute. “Many of us had the privilege and honour of celebrating Chris’s greatest moments.”

Orangeville, Ont., wrestler Adam Copeland, better known as Edge, said he enjoyed matches with Benoit the most.

“Anytime we got in there, it was like two Canadians fighting for the last beer,” said Edge, who broke down several times during his videotaped message.

“I love that guy. I’m gonna miss him.”
