Not on the list

As much as I may talk about it, the alli diet pill will not be on my Christmas list.  I am just too chicken to try a pill to melt of any excess pounds.  I hear many success stories taking such pills and how they work wonders, but I guess I’m just a little skeptical or I just don’t want to lose any weight quite that badly.  I’m not quite sure just which one of those it is but I know for now my diet pill consists of four legs and is rather furry, as in a dog that requires a walk which in turn gets my butt out of the house and into some exercise.

A turkey story

I find it fitting that I share a turkey story on American Thanksgiving.  On a trip home from visiting family on Monday we had hardly ‘hit the highway’ when we nearly ran over several wild turkeys.  I was in awe as I’d never seen wild turkeys before, so I made the boy pull over in the hopes of getting a picture or two.  I didn’t think I would as they are ‘wild’ and figured they’d run the second I got out of the car.  They did no such thing and actually started in my direction a little as I got close as I dared to snap some pictures.  I thought, great, I can get a better picture.  This quickly changed as one got closer and closer, I took a few steps back, then it started running at me.  It was at that point that I turned step and took off outta there as fast I could get my legs to go.  I returned to the car to fits of laughter and kindly thanked all inside for their grave concern over my turkey plight.  I must admit, I’m sure it looked rather hilarious watching a turkey chase a human, but I was not about to take any chances.

I should be grateful

So I suppose I should be grateful about the fact that my fiance didn’t tell me I need to start taking something like Leptorexin.  No, he did not insinuate anything bad by his suggestion at dinner tonight, his suggestion was that I need more…..calcium!!  Ya, not something you may expect to hear from your significant other, unless of course you have one like mine who is always looking out for number one..ME.  That wasn’t meant to sound bad, it’s just that he is always putting me ahead of himself and wanting the best for me and for me to not ’suffer’ in any way.  Tonight after dinner he was rubbing my back and found yet another knot, that really hurt and stated that I need to take calcium supplements as I always have knots and a lack of calcium is supposedly a cause of that.  I didn’t believe him, he told me to look it up on the Internet so I do believe I will go do that right about now.

If only

I wonder, are there any natural foods that would fall into the category of fat burners?  Could someone please enlighten me if there is?  Only fat burners I know of are the kind that come in pill form and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I had been tempted to see if they really work, but have yet to do so.  I know, we humans are always looking for quick solutions to things that typically require some effort and work, but isn’t that just good ‘ol human nature at it’s finest?  Looking for the easy out.  I know I should eat more veggies, not that we don’t eat well already, but I’m sure we could do even more.  I bought a few different things when we were shopping yesterday, to add to our vegetable repetoire as I tend to get bored with eating the same thing in rotation.  Hopefully tomorrow I will feel adventurous and make something with the stuff we bought yesterday.
