Should have

I just thought I have something that would have been a perfect Christmas present, a custom rubber stamp.  I wish I had thought of it before the big day of present opening, but I will now have to keep it in mind for my birthday I guess, think I will remember 6 months from now?  I doubt it.  Since I make all my own cards for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and of course Christmas, it would be the great personal and finishing touch to be able to stamp the back of them with my own trademark, so to speak.  I will have to make mention of this to the boy and see if maybe I will get a ’surprise’ present just because I am so wonderful…lol.

On the road again

The boy and I will be traveling once again, the last trip of our holiday season and the second attempt to get up to my parent’s place.  We have our fingers (and toes) crossed that we are able to make it further than an hour from home this time (before turning around and coming back) and actually arrive at our destination.  I am excited as I get to see my parent’s new house with them actually living in it and I get Christmas #2 as we have yet to exchange presents with my parents.  Since we are arriving New Year’s Day, I’m thinking what better way to start the New Year than with presents, this might have to become a tradition.

Times change

I recall quite easily how just a few years ago everything was stored on those lovely little diskettes that had to be handled with kid gloves because you just never knew when something may go horribly wrong and all your information is lost in a nanosecond.  I never liked those things too much, just when you felt that your data was secure, you realized it wasn’t, typically the day before some huge paper you had spent weeks compiling was due.  Fast forward a few years and it’s all about the memory stick.  It is amazing the amount of data/images you can store on one tiny little thing.  I must say I prefer these nifty little gadgets over the diskettes and have more than a few kicking around my place.

On your mind perhaps

With the start of a new year rapidly approaching, it is a time for many to make their resolutions.  Often times these center around a person’s health and well being.  I wouldn’t be surprised if there are several people looking into a Wholesale Insurance life insurance quote over the next little while.  I personally, tend not to make resolutions as I am not so great at keeping them and feel I am just setting myself up for disappointment if I were to continue to fail, so to speak.  Not that I don’t have ideas of things I would like to do differently or better in a new year, but I keep them to myself, just seems to work better that way for me.
