New Discovery

I may have found a way to some quick weight loss. The past couple of weekends the boy and I have been spending a lot of time outdoors, working hard getting our garden ‘growing’ and then ‘relaxing’ fishing. The gardening itself is great exercise, but the fishing has turned out to offer it’s own little ‘workout’ of sorts. In order to get to any of our fishing spots, we have to do a good bit of walking. I am not complaining, but think it is a good way to get exercise in without really realizing it. Who could complain about having to walk on a nature trail next to a beautiful lake? Certainly not me, if only I did that every day I may be much happier in the weight department.

Garage Sale-ing

I am fearing the boy and I may be turning into seasoned garage salers/addicts. The past several Saturday mornings we have risen rather early in order to get ourselves ready, eat and butts out the door to hit the garage sales right as they open. I can’t exactly pinpoint why we do this to ourselves, but it is nice to be up and early on a weekend morning, really helps get the most out of the day. And, we have found a few great bargains on things we need, I guess that is more than enough to keep us on the hunt for the next great garage sale.

New purchase

The boy and I recently, through a third party (his parents) acquired some office furniture. The boys’ Dads’ office was selling a bunch of office chairs and several other items at major discounts, and knowing we don’t have office chairs for our computer desks, he asked if we wanted him to pick up a couple for us. After finding out they were rather expensive chairs being sold at a major discount we most definitely said yes!! I would have loved to acquire more office related things as I like that kind of stuff, but we don’t exactly have room for anything at present. Now we just have to figure out how we are going to get the chairs from his parents who happen to live several hundred miles away….

Possible Present

I am pondering asking for some rubber stamps for my upcoming birthday. I have a few general ones that I have used, but, as is the case with stamps, you could always use more. I have avoided getting too involved in them as I just do not have the funds to become a stamper, not that I wouldn’t like to, but I need to budget my crafting affairs. Hence, they would make a perfect gift as they are not something I would normally buy for myself, and I believe those are the best kind of gifts to receive (and give).
