The Internet can be oh so helpful for pretty much anything you need these days. One thing I’m kind of interested in delving deeper into is ancestry dna. Some of my relatives on both sides of the family have taken the time to research family roots and I love that kind of information as it reveals some interesting relations. I would be curious to see if researching it online would turn up the same results or something completely different. One of these days I will take the time to look into things further, right now I have far too much to do to get ready for impending company to be spending time research my family history.

Have you heard of atro phex? I hadn’t heard of it, but I see it is a new diet pill. This one sounds a bit different as it claims to help with energy as well. What a good idea, I mean who doesn’t need energy if they are trying to lose weight? Heck, I even need it some days when I’m not even thinking about weight. In fact, the boy could use a boost of energy right now as he has been laying on the bed since we returned from our day trip. I just called to him and he insisted he wasn’t sleeping, most certainly one of his famous lines when he actually WAS sleeping. I’m sure I will have to call at least twice more before he actually gets his butt off the bed. I can’t be too mad though I guess because he has been an insomniac this past week, here’s hoping a nice relaxing weekend can cure him of that!!

The boy and I just returned from yet another fishing/picnic excursion. We actually went to the same place we were at last weekend as we had seen a lot of rather nice sized fish there and wanted to try our hand (or should I say rod) at catching one since we were skunked last time. The closer we got the worse the weather started to look and even rained a little, but we still carried on. It was raining when we got there, but we took cover under some trees to eat our lunch and by the time we finished eating, the rain had stopped, so on to fishing it was. Shortly after that, the thunder started. It was quite far away at first, but then it started to get nasty, which is when I caught a fish, but it jumped a few times and got off. We had to run to the car and nearly left b/c it was raining so hard, but the rain let up and we decided to try again. There were probably 3 thunderstorms raging all around us and plenty of lightening, so we didn’t stay too long. The rain started to really come in so we started heading in and I cast out a few times on our way in along the dock and wouldn’t you know…that is when I actually caught (and landed) a fish…

As much as I wish to ignore it, certain people will not let me and my birthday is fast approaching. In fact it’s not even 3 weeks away. I used to count down the days until my birthday, but the past couple years I have not found myself full of such joy on the approach of my big day. I have been a good girl and gotten a list together, after much hounding from certain relatives. It seems a little boring, not that I wouldn’t like to receive all the stuff I have on it though. One thing I always enjoy as a gift is jewelry. I find I can just never get enough of the stuff. Last year the boy got me a watch and two pairs of earrings for my birthday. I was very pleased to say the least. Once again I have asked for earrings, fingers crossed I get at least one pair to add to my collection.
