Quick fix

I am wondering if slimming pills exist for animals. In looking at my male dog I am definitely thinking he could use such a thing to regain his girlish figure. We cut back on his food and for the past two weeks he got a lot of exercise, but it did not seem to make a dent in his chunkiness. I am wondering if he has reached the age where it will be harder for him to take the weight off as he used to drop the pounds like nothing. In any respect I get quite a chuckle out of it because he looks pretty funny when he is carrying around a few extra pounds.

Not shopping for

One thing I can guarantee I will not be shopping for this summer is pool floats. It is not that I am against such a thing, I just have no need for them. I honestly cannot recall the last time I was even in a pool, let alone floating around something in one. There are some days I wish I had a pool, when it gets and stays desert-like in the midst of summer, but I am no closer to having something like that this year than I have been since I moved to this warmer climate. If it gets too unbearable, I will just head for the nearest lake in search of relief.

The one big reason I have stayed away from any assistance in the weight loss battle are I am unsure of the side effects of diet pills. Honesty, I am unsure of the side effects of many pills out there and am thankful that I do not have to be on any medications. I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to the unknown that way, I like to stick to the tried and true and am not always so willing to try anything new. The odd time I surprise myself, and the husband, with my willingness to forge into the unknown, but not too often. I need to make more of an effort to change this I think, as I only live once.

Rain come again

It has been a dry winter and an even drier spring so far around these parts. I was grateful to see liquid falling from the sky today, albeit in short bursts, but we need every drop we can get. It is very frightening to me just how dry everything is right now and I shudder to think about what the coming months will bring as far as fires go if we do not get a lot more rain.
