Old Style Bulldogs

Was it really a year ago that you all made your appearance?  How time flies!!  We hope you are all doing well and can’t wait to see more pictures.  Here’s a poem I wrote to commemorate the special day:

A birthday like no other for me, that’s for sure
And I wasn’t to be getting my birthday massage and pedicure
For one year ago today
You made your way
Into this big ‘ol world
And our heads certainly swirled
Being up all night long
Watching the break of dawn
As we welcomed each of you anew
A special place in our hearts grew
For each of you was so adored
And with you around we were never bored
With your rambunctious ways
you kept us busy through the days
Always ready to play
And loving to be held along the way
Oh, how quickly you grew
And, before we knew
You were off to your new homes
Leaving us feeling a little alone
One thing i do know
Wherever you may go
You were the best present ever
And I shall forget you never
For how many can say
They got to welcome puppies into the world on their birthday!

Georgia and Uno met for the first time this weekend since Uno made her trip away from home over a year ago, although they were hard to get a good pic together this is the first of a few shots together. Both LOVE their ball and direction from their leader.

So we recently received this email from Emma’s owner proudly coining the phrase,

“Here are a couple pics of the best little dog ever.”

Yesterday we got quite the snowfall and somebody thought she would help me shovel it.  In other words, catch the snow as it was cleared off the walk.  She was so excited it was hard to get her to sit still to snap a picture, but I succeeded and had to share.  Georgia Peach LOVES snow!!

Dear Uno, Max, Clarence, Madi, Emma, Boo, Radar and Cola,

Happy Birthday to you all
One year ago you were so very small
When we were blessed with our perfect litter of eight
On this very special date
From your first little cries
To the (very sad) goodbyes
We had such fun
With each and every one
Even though the pictures we receive from some may be few
It doesn’t mean we don’t often think of you
You, like so many others on this day
Are thought of in a very special way
For even though we had to part
You all found a way into our heart(s)
We hope you are well
And turning out very swell
So as you celebrate one year
Even though we are not near
We wish for you all things doggone great
And shall never forget this special date.
